Process Serving

SELECT DOCUMENT manages one of the largest service networks available throughout Canada and The United States.

This service is required when Legal Documents must be served upon a Defendant/Respondent etc. Select Document is knowledgable in knowing which documents must be served personally or in some cases by leaving with another adult person residing at the same address and in some cases service can be made on a Sunday. Being successful since 1985 obviously tells you we know what we are doing.
Service of Process locally and throughout Canada is completed by our own trained and experienced contractors who are "PEACE OFFICERS" for the preservation and maintenance of the public peace and for the service or execution of civil process.

CAN SERVICE BE EFFECTED ON A SUNDAY?

Only if that Province or State allows for this . Again, our staff and contractors are are knolwledgable in this area service.

DO YOU PREPARE AFFIDAVITS OF SERVICE?

Yes we do and provide either a Commissioner's Stamp or a Notary's Signature and Seal.

Service in QUEBEC is only deemed effective ( if challenged) when served by a " Licenced Huissier" . OUR Quebec agents are Licenced Huissier.

DO YOU SERVE DOCUMENTS UNDER THE HAGUE CONVENTION?

The Hague Convention allows for service by using Private Process. The convention confirms that Private Process is a quicker and less expensive method of service. Private Process Servers are the most expeditious agents for effecting service in Canada and the United States. When serving in Quebec you do not have to have your documents translated which is a very expensive procedure. Service under the Hague Convention can take weeks to months.
